Shortly after he was born, Jacob's arms and legs
started jerking every 20 minutes. Weeks later; he could not focus on his
mother's face. The diagnosis was uncontrollable epileptic seizures involving
his entire brain. He underwent brain surgery at 5months in which 20% of his
brain was removed.
Do you think the surgery was successful in
treating the seizures and why?
i don't think Jacob's brain surgery succeeded because since the brain is a very delicate and sensitive organ to temper with, removing some of its part will definitely lead to loss of his life.

DeleteOk scientists say that the brain can undergo what we call a regenerative process whereby new brain cells are created as the person grows, and also after injury/surgery the brain is able to share its functions within the remaining areas. So maybe Jacob might have survived but is it true or its a myth?

ReplyDeletewhen tsepiso steps on the nail the afferent neuron sends message to the central nervous system (CSN) it interprates the message and via the efferent neuron sends it to the affected part therefore making tsepiso respond by jumping.
